Cataract

A cataract is a clouding of the lens, mostly due to aging. Your vision becomes blurry and colours will fade. Early on the symptoms may be improved with new glasses to see sharply again. After a while this won’t help anymore and a surgery is recommended.

The diagnosis is made by an ophthalmologist by observing the lens combined with a measurement of the visual acuity, to see what’s the impact of the cataract.

If a cataract surgery will be performed, some extra measurements will be done to calculate the power of the implant.
